This intermediate level course is designed for those working in a food business at supervisory level. Owners and managers in small to medium sized organisations, may also find that this course provides them with sufficient knowledge to carry out their responsibilities effectively.

Course Features

Course normally delivered one day per week for four weeks but alternative arrangements can be made where large enough groups have different attendance requirements.

80? attendance is compulsory before candidates are permitted to take the examination.

The course fee is inclusive of Lunch and morning coffee.

Food Borne Disease - the causes and control measures Physical Contamination of Food ? Its Prevention Food Storage ? Temperature Control Food Preservation - and the causes of food spoilage Cleaning ? Disinfection Pest Control Personal Hygiene Legislation - the format and relevance of UK ? European Legislation to food quality and safety Supervisory Management - the importance and application of the techniques involved in monitoring and controlling food standards.

A two hour multiple choice paper.
