Course Details

The intermediate/advanced level in Ceramics will extend existing skills offering increasingly more involved processes/levels of competence and building on previous skills learned. Students will be expected to respond to tutor set assignment briefs, keeping a sketchbook record of inspiration and ideas development, in addition to health and safety notes. NB: once a learner has successfully completed a 10 week term, they will be given opportunity to enrol for a further 10 weeks in the next term (subject to demand).

Successful completion of the Introduction or Intermediate Ceramics (3 x 10 weeks)

Advice on material costs will be provided at enrolment. , informal one to one guidance is preferred to ensure correct entry onto courses. Therefore please contact the Art and Design Office directly.

Progression:
On successful completion of the 10 week course students may wish to progress onto a further 10 weeks at the same level to extend their skills. Students with a strong portfolio may consider progression onto the NOCN Level 2 Diploma in Art and Design, the OCN Access Diploma (Art and Design) or Level 2 Edexcel Award in Visual Arts (Ceramics and Glass).
