WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE COURSE?
There are no formal entry requirements for Level 2, but you will need a good basic knowledge of Maths and English.

COURSE STRUCTURE AND CONTENT
The syllabus covers:

• Practical woodworking skills
• Underpinning job knowledge
• Health and Safety

And either

• First fix
• Second fix
• Floors and roofs or
• Setting out
• Marking out
• Assembly of joinery products

ASSESSMENT
You will be assessed on :

• Work based evidence i.e. you must have suitable placement / employer to generate evidence from site
• Externally set, internally marked end tests
• Portfolio of underpinning evidence
• On Line tests

WHERE COULD THE COURSE LEAD?
You may progress to Level 3 through a work based learning course.
