About the course:
This course is offered on an open learning supported tutorial-basis for those of you currently working in supervisory positions within the industry. It is designed for people wishing to formalise their experience and gain a widely recognised qualification. Following an initial guidance session, you will attend regular meetings with a tutor who will guide you through the assessment preparation. In addition, you will attend college sessions for approximately one session every three weeks. The course is designed for site managers who are usually in charge of on-site building / civil engineering work within a wider team of managers and functional specialists such as designers, planners, quantity surveyors, engineers etc. The site manager is usually responsible for the effective use of resources such as materials, plant, labour and sub-contractors. Evidence of considerable organisational, managerial and technical abilities is required and the ability to quickly establish and maintain good, effective relationships with people is required to achieve this NVQ.
Additional Information:
Attendance - part-time, flexible open learning with one tutorial session every three weeks on a one to one basis. If you are on a qualifying means tested benefit the tuition fees for some courses may be reduced. However, you will still need to pay Exam and College costs. You must claim tuition fee remission by providing evidence before enrolment.
