About this course
NVQ Level 4 in Management is intended for those who employed in a middle managerial capacity in any organisation, and who make decisions in their area of responsibility. Level 4 is broadly aimed at managers who are responsible for the direction and control of activities and work output of other people and who make organisational managerial decisions.

The acquisition of nationally recognised qualifications can lead to enhanced career prospects. Progression is possible to further and higher level qualifications in management such as NVQ Level 5, the Post-Graduate Certificate in Management, the Diploma in Management Studies and programmes at Masters Degree Level.
Modules
Five mandatory and three optional units. Mandatory Units, B1 Develop and implement operational plans for your area of responsibility. C2 Encourage innovation in your area of responsibility. D2 Develop productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. E6 Ensure health and safety requirements are met in your area of responsibility F3 Manage business processes. There are a range of optional units which may be undertaken. Examples of the areas these units cover include finance, project management, customer service, market and customers, recruit, select and keep colleagues, lead change, plan change.
Method of Assessment
Assessment is based on observation, evidence collected by candidates at their workplace, witness testimonials and professional discussion. This process is co-ordinated by college staff.
