Course Details

The course introduces the concepts of Lean manufacturing and is for employees who have a good competence level in manufacturing duties. The qualification is delivered on site, with an assigned trainer consultant who, coordinates training and assessment of knowledge, evidence and observation. Through the candidates own experience, improvements are identified and small work based projects are used to demonstrate application. The programme delivery is flexible dependant upon the needs of the employer and the individual but can take 2 to 6 months Benefits to the learner include: Gaining a nationally recognised certificate of achievement (NVQ Level 2 is equivalent to a GCSE). Recognition of the skills you have gained and a way of using your skills to make valued improvements to the company. Gives valued insight into Lean Manufacturing Techniques. Benefits to the employer include: Training and assessment to a national recognised standard (NVQ Level 2). Emphasis on company business plan goals in order to make reductions in health & Safety issues and waste as well as improvements to production output and efficiencies. The course if backed by the government and the National Skills Academy for Manufacturing.

Dependant upon the needs of the employer and the individual but can take 2 to 6 months

Progression:
On completion of the programme candidates may progress to the NVQ Level 3 if they so wish.
