NVQ Level 2 Food Manufacturing

Course Details

The Food Manufacturing qualification includes a whole suit of pathways and is suitable for operators, who have a good competence level and who work in a Food Manufacturing environment. The qualification is delivered on site, with an assigned trainer consultant who, coordinates training and assessment of knowledge, evidence and observation. Through the candidates own experience, improvements are identified and small work based projects are used to demonstrate application. The programme delivery is flexible dependant upon the needs of the employer and the individual but can take 2 to 6 months Benefits to the learner include: Gaining a nationally recognised certificate of achievement (NVQ Level 2 is equivalent to a GCSE). Gives recognition of the skills you have and is a way of using these skills to make valued improvements to the company. Gives a platform for future development opportunities. Benefits to the employer include: Training and assessment to a national recognised standard (NVQ Level 2). Candidates will be able to control a wider range of tasks and carry out operations effectively. A way of increasing the flexibility of your workforce. Enables candidates to better diagnose any potential problem areas and implement simple procedures for problem control Improves understanding of quality control measures and critical control points.

Course length:
Dependant upon the needs of the employer and the individual but can take 2 to 6 months

Progression:
On completion of the programme candidates may progress to the NVQ Level 3 if they so wish.
