Course Details

Qualifications required:
NVQ Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery. You must be in a position to provide evidence from a workplace, demonstrating that you can organise and manage all aspects of small joinery jobs.

Course length:
Not fixed, average is 1 year, depending on evidence gathering opportunities.

The College's Queen's Gardens Site

Course hours:
8 hours per week for 35 weeks for NVQ only, or 13 hours per week for 38 weeks for Apprentices

Additional info:
You will need stationery and safety footwear. Safety footwear must be worn in all workshops. We do not allow the use of safety trainers.

Progression:
Further study (e.g. National Award/Certificate in Construction) or employment.

Session times:
Wednesday 9am - 7.30pm and Thursday 5.30 - 8.30pm (subject to change)

Days running:
Wednesday and Thursday evening for Apprentices
