Painting and Drawing class to develop skills within the discipline of various mediums, watercolour, oil, acrylics, pencil, charcoal, pen, ink or pastels or to improve exsisting skills and develop self-expression in your work. Suitable for beginners. Held in St Neots.

What will you study
Topics covered include varieties of paint and surface texture of paper. The versatility of brushstrokes, laying of washes to include flat, gradated. blended and granulated. Study of the colour wheel and its application in painting. The tonal scale and monochromatic painting. How to draw for painting and use of a sketch book. The use of textures and resists and how to compose landscapes and still lifes.

Individually verbally and student achievement record.

Additional information
Materials required for first class are cartridge paper pad no smaller than A4, a set of sketching pencils grade B-6B and a putty rubber.
