PC Maintenance is the starting point for individuals who wish to gain the basic skills required for setting up hardware, installing software and maintaining their own computer. Students will be working in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Course Features
Students will learn how to replace or add hardware components used in most home PCs. The course will involve fault finding and discussions on issues related to upgrading. You will also learn how to install MS Windows system software and relevant device drivers.
Units will include Introduction to Computer Hardware/Software;
Basic networking and peripherals.

Useful for Home PC work, i.e. problem solving. Highlights some of the work carried out by IT Technicians.
