WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE COURSE?
You should have a GCSE Grade C or above in Photography.
COURSE STRUCTURE AND CONTENT
This level forms 50% of the full A2 Level. It can be taken as a stand-alone course or as part of the full A2 level course.
Units 1/2 2 coursework projects and a coursework portfolio
Unit 3 A controlled assignment
Visual and written references of work of other artists should be included in sketchbooks or planning sheets. You will be able to select and use appropriate equipment. You will need to demonstrate understanding of composition and formal qualities producing work under a range of natural and artificial lighting conditions.
Digital photography is now taught as part of this syllabus.
All units are internally assessed.
