Course Details

The Pre-Foundation Taster in Art and Design is a prelude to the full time Edexcel (BTEC) Foundation Diploma in Art and Design. The course is an introduction to drawing and mark-making skills. It is designed for students who are building a portfolio for interview within the field of art and design or who wish to develop their skills in visual language. Previously students have undertaken classes in ceramics, textiles, life drawing and printmaking subject to availability.

Qualifications required:
An interest in drawing and painting and progression within the School of Art and Design.

Completion of on-line applications are not necessary. Due to the nature of the activity, informal one to one guidance is preferred to ensure correct entry onto courses. Therefore please contact the Art and Design Office directly. Advice on material costs will be provided at enrolment.
