Professional Cookery: Silver Level (SVQ Level 2)
This stimulating programme deepens your knowledge and widens the experience and skills set learned at Professional Cookery Bronze Level.

During the course your time will be spent in a practical environment, with some classroom-based tuition to help develop your understanding of the subject. You will also have the opportunity to work in training kitchens producing food for up to sixty paying customers a day. The kitchen-based tuition, includes fish, vegetable, meat and poultry cookery, soups, sauces and desserts. The course will also enhance your numeracy, IT and communication skills and includes the REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene qualification.

The programme is assessed by a multiple choice examination for the REHIS qualification and continuous assessment for both practical and theory units.

Further Study/Employment
Upon completing this course you can progress to one of the Gold Level awards or into employment.
