PROFESSIONAL MULTIMEDIA AND WEBSITE DESIGN

Who is this course for?

This course will be of interest to anyone who has a good basic knowledge of IT and has an interest in the development of applications in the field of multimedia and the internet and in the design and management of a website.

Students will develop an integrated set of web pages, develop a multimedia application and investigate current multimedia/internet techniques. The focus is on the server and the mechanisms to link web pages to databases.

The aims of the course are to develop the student's practical ability to communicate and interact using current internet and multimedia tools, to allow students to produce innovative multimedia solutions for a range of commercial needs and also to enable students to create and manage web-based applications.

Upon successful completion of this course, students can progress to the BTEC Higher Level courses offered within the College.
