Duration
2 Years (30 weeks each year)

Course content
Validated by Canterbury Christchurch University
For students to receive a LLUK endorsed qualification, their teaching practice must be in publicly funded provision ie: FE (including FE provision taught in HE Settings), Adult and Community Education or Basic Skills within FE. If students are unable to find sufficient hours in these sectors, they can obtain a non-LLUK endorsed Certificate provided the required hours are in other Post-Compulsory education/training settings, adult learning or other contexts.
- During the course all students have to satisfy certain literacy and numeracy requirements and to be educated to at least Level 3 (A level, BTEC National).
- All students must have their teaching experience (75 hours approx over the year) arranged externally and confirmed in writing prior to starting the course.
- It is possible in very exceptional circumstances that Bexhill College might offer a proportion of the teaching hours needed, but this is NOT guaranteed.
- Prospective students should provide a CV, references and a 1000 word essay on the importance of teacher training with the enrolment form, and attend an interview. You will also need to produce evidence of your CRB check.
