9 months teaching and a further 9 months of assessment

Course Description
The Registered Managers Award/NVQ level 4 is aimed at all those managers, deputy managers and senior managers in both Residential and Domiciliary Care who need to undertake a management qualification to meet the governments National Minimum Standards.

The course delivers teaching and assessment support on a range of management areas including systems, finance, supervision, meetings, recruitment and quality assurance. The course is run by experienced tutors and is specifically tailored to the needs of care managers.


How is the Qualification Achieved ?
Candidates are required to produce a portfolio of evidence to prove competency against performance and knowledge criteria.
The college can now offer an electronic assessment method (ENVQ) providing candidates have basic I.T skills.


On Successful Completion of this Course

- Achieve the Registered Managers Award Level 4
- Assist in achieving registration status with CSCI
- Enables membership of the Chartered Management Institute

Additional Information
The Registered Managers Award consists of 10 units. These are composed of 4 key units on:-
1) Promoting rights, equality and confidentiality
2) Managing care delivery
3) Managing finance
4) Management of teams and individuals

The remaining 6 optional units are taken from the four areas of managing activities, people, information and quality.
