ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 24 to be eligible for funding and have completed their Apprenticeship (NVQ2)in Heating and Ventilation Installation.

Learners need to be employed full-time.

Applicants should have reached a reasonable standard of education and possess the necessary motivation, commitment to study and awareness of the demand of the programme. All applicants will be required to attend an interview and undertake an initial assessment.

Install complex Heating & Ventilating systems.

PROGRESSION/CAREERS OPPORTUNITIES
After the successful completion of the Heating ventilation (pipe fitter/ welder). Advanced Apprenticeship, Apprentices will gain the following awards:

NVQ Level 3 in Heating and Ventilation Installation
Heating and Ventilation Technical Certificate(papers 1 & 2).

Opportunity to progress on to higher programmes of learning such as HNC'S.


ASSESSMENT STRUCTURE Computer based exam for Welding technology, computer based exams for technical certificate papers, portfolio completion for NVQ element, practicial assessments for welding disciplines.
EXCURSIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE Learners need to be employed full-time.
