This introductory course is ideal if you are considering a career in the hospitality industry in a restaurant or hotel, as waiting staff, or wishing to work behind a bar. Service of Food and Drink: Bronze Level (SVQ Level 1)
This introductory course is ideal if you are considering a career in the hospitality industry in a restaurant or hotel, as waiting staff, or wishing to work behind a bar. You will receive classroom tuition alongside practical training in the bar (age dependent) and the training restaurant as well as some units in food production.
You will also be able to undertake the BIIAB (SCPLH) Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders.
First class tuition and theoretical training is given in all aspects of food and drink service. Practical activities are delivered in our training restaurant which is open to the public and designed to simulate a realistic restaurant working environment.
Assessment on this course is continuous and delivered in the training environment and classrooms. There is a multiple choice examination for the BIIAB qualification.
Further Study/Employment
Upon successful completion of this programme you may progress on to one of our Silver level awards or into employment.
