What qualifications will I need?
Candidates should be working in a school in any role such as teaching assistant, mid'day supervisor, pastoral support, subject support, cover supervision, etc.

What will I be learning about?
Mandatory units:
  • Help to keep children safe.
  • Develop and promote positive relationships.
  • Reflect on and develop practice.
  • Support pupils' learning activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour.
  • Support the development and effectiveness of work teams.

Plus 4 optional units from a choice of 50.

What is involved?
Candidates will be given individual help and guidance, and will be observed in the workplace as they provide evidence of competency in the skills required to complete the units of the qualification.

By a portfolio of evidence.
