Career Prospects and Progression

Successful learners will be qualified to internally verify competency-based qualifications within their field of occupational competence. The V1 unit is also an option unit of the NVQ Level 4 Learning and Development qualification which consists of 7 mandatory and 5 optional units including the design of learning programmes and mentoring of learners. Internal verifiers may choose to progress to the V2 External Verifier award.

The unit consists of 4 elements: Carry out and evaluate internal assessment and quality assurance systems Support assessors Monitor the quality of assessors performance Meet external quality assurance requirements

Method of Assessment

Based on observation, evidence from candidates workplace, witness testimonials and professional discussion, presented in a portfolio of evidence - process is co-ordinated by college staff.
