Course Details

For Learners: This qualification will give a nationally recognised qualification containing relevant theory and the practical skills needed by the fabrication and welding industry. For Employers: The qualification will provide a pool of staff with a nationally recognised qualification. This VRQ complies with the National Welder Training Standard, Code of Practice 1 (NWTS CP1. An important feature of training and employment is compliance with the requirements of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations, 1998 (PUWER) Statutory Instrument SI 1998-2306. This is a vocationally related qualification and has been developed in consultation with local and national industry, colleges and other training providers to meet the needs od industry.
