NVQ 2 Beauty Therapy or relevant industrial experience, 5 GCSE's or eqivalent successful completion of professional or vocational qualification.

Looks at

• health and safety
• promotion of products and services
• financial effectiveness of the business and business ideas
• head and body massage
• Indian Head massage
• aromatherapy using pre-blended oils

Method of Assessment

Continual Practical/Oral/Written Assessment.

Progression

Employment opportunities can include progression to managerial positions within the health and beauty therapy industry in the UK and overseas. Additionally, opportunities exist on cruise liners, in health spas and large fitness centres either on an employed or self employed basis. For those wishing to progress onto further study the Foundation Degree in Complementary Approaches to Health & Social Care in the Community is an ideal opportunity. This course is also delivered at the Sleaford College site.
