CPC Training

The law for all PCV and LGV drivers is changing.

From September 10th 2008 all PCV (and all LGV from September 2009) drivers of vehicles categorised as requiring D1, D1+E, D or D+E and C1, C1+E, C or C+E will be required to hold a drivers CPC in addition to their normal license.

The CPC is achieved by each driver undertaking 35 hours training every 5 years. The 35 hours is broken up into 7 hour sessions which can be taken in a one week intensive course or periodically over the five year period.

Our courses have been carefully designed to include all elements of the Drivers CPC Syllabus as defined by JAUPT and Automotive Training Ltd has qualified trainers to help you through your CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) or ADR (Dangerous Goods) Course and provide you with the qualification that you need to do your job.

On successful completion of each training session the candidate is registered with JAUPT (Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training) and a Driver Qualification Card (DQA) will be issued after the completion of the 35 hours training. It is a requirement to carry the card when driving.CPC Training - what's involved
