Description:
This course is designed to ensure that practising electricians are familiar with the use of the Institute of Electrical Engineer's Code of Practice for in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment. There are two certificates, one for managers and one for those who carry out testing.You may take either or both certificates.

2377-001 Management of electrical equipment maintenance: Subjects studied are: the law and scope of legislation, electrical equipment, in-service inspection & testing, documentation & labelling, training for competence and instruments.

2377-002 Inspection and testing of electrical equipment: Subjects studied are: equipment construction, inspection, combined inspection & testing, recording, and equipment.

Progression:
Employment or further electrical courses.

Entry Requirements:
It is not essential that you have any prior electrical knowledge, as this will be covered in the course, but basic numeracy skills would be helpful.
