Course programme

Year 1

The course works from standard-size 12 blocks and explores techniques for bodices, sleeves, collars, skirts and trousers. The course gives you the opportunity to have weekly verbal feedback on your pattern cutting and provides additional resources for you to explore at your own pace. You will also learn about personal and standard measurements, pattern labelling for industry, the use of darts within fashion and collar and sleeve styles.

Additional information

Formative assessment is continuous throughout the course and although you don’t earn a recognised qualification, you will receive a College certificate at the end.
