Introduction:
This course develops specialist payroll, essential IT, communication and management skills. Changes in employment legislation and European directives, have meant that payroll administration has become increasingly complex. This specialist qualification is therefore designed to develop the necessary competences for use in the workplace. This is afull Level 2 qualification and may be studied FREE of charge by adults who have no qualifications at Level 2 (ie Intermediate Level).

Study Mode & Location:
This one year course will last for 3.5 hours per week. It will be held at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent`s Road, Preston, PR2 8UR.

Course Content:
This programme is designed for payroll staff in a wide range of industries/organisations, although you do not need to be currently working in a payroll office. The course will help you understand the broad objectives of payroll systems in order to carry out payroll tasks competently. It should also place you in a position to be able to propose improvements to payroll systems.

Assessment:
Assessment will be through a combination of evidence from vocationally relevant activities and examination.

There is a high demand in business for individuals with payroll experience and qualifications.

You will need to have an informal interview with a Adult Admissions Adviser.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
