This course is designed for those wishing to improve their knowledge and understanding of manual and computerised payroll systems, with an introduction to Sage payroll software
ContentsA basic introduction to Payroll which covers:
- Gross Pay
- Pensions
- P11s, Tax, NI and Payslips
- 'K' Codes, Students
- Joiners and Leavers
- Charges & Deductions
The course content will be 50% manual payroll followed by 50% computerised
Level: Level 2 Course Type: Part Time Entry RequirementsEntry Requirements:There are no specific academic requirements for entry on to the Payroll course, but students will need to possess basic computer skills.
Progression & AssessmentAssessment and Progression:This course is assessed at the College via a series of workshop activities, and leads to the award of a College Certificate in Payroll.
Duration & LocationDuration:This is a 10 week course, starting 10 February 2011 on Thursdays 9.00am - 12 Noon.
Due to the short duration of this course, there is a requirement for 100% attendance. The course is internally assessed, with the main assessed activity taking place towards the end of the course.
