Skills and Training
The two year, full time Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Travel and Tourism, combined with the Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Hospitality has been designed to equip learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for success in higher education and/or employment in both these sectors. South West College has excellent relations with local industry to facilitate this.
By achieving both qualifications at the end of year two you can progress to study at a higher level, for example, the Ulster University Foundation Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, also offered at South West College. Typical employment opportunities in either sector include working as a Travel Agent, Tourist Information Advisor, member of a Visitor Attraction Team, in Accommodation or Tour Operations, Airline Cabin Crew or within Catering or Entertainment Providers.
