Course programme

People Handling (Theory)

This is a theory course and is designed for anyone who in the course of their work could be called upon to move a person from one place to another using their bodily force, usually nursing and care staff. The course is up to 3 hours in length and is valid for 1 year.

If conducted within your own setting our trainer can concentrate on the equipment used within that establishment. As long as ALL the relevant information is received and given to the trainer well before the training is to be delivered, we can mould the course to the client’s requirements. The course can also be held at one of our training venues.

This is a half day course and is theory only, if you require a practical session then please speak to the training department who will discuss the options with you.

Care Quality Commission states that all personnel who have to move another person in the course of their duties, must have a sound knowledge of People Handling.
