Who is this course for? Young people aged 16-18.
What do I need to get on the course? You need at least four GCSEs at grade A-C, including English Language. Alternatively, you may have a BTEC First Diploma with Merit or Distinction and Key/Basic skills in Communications or Application of Number at level 2. If you are a mature student alternative qualifications or experience will be taken into account. You must participate in a group workshop for your audition.
What will I study? Performing is a major part of the course, with regular performances throughout the year and a strong focus on working with industry professionals. You study different aspects of movement and drama, such as:

· Acting techniques
· Improvisation and devising
· Historical and cultural studies
· Movement studies
· Film and TV acting
· Physical theatre
· Vocal skills
· The performing arts business
· Theatre for children.
What qualification will I get? On successful completion of the course you will receive a BTEC National Diploma in Drama (equivalent to 3 A Levels).
What can I do after the course? You can go onto higher education or to further training at a drama school or to related employment. Past students have progressed to Central School of Speech and Drama, Middlesex University, De Montfort University and Dartington College, amongst others.
How do I get on the course? For September 2008 entry - complete a College application form, followed by interview.
How much does the course cost? Home students aged 16-18 do not pay the course fee.
