Performing Arts (Acting) Details

Course Content - Certificate - The Certificate course introduces learners to various forms of theatrical exploration. Learners study performance skills on stage and screen, the use of physicality and voice as well as Improvisation skills. The combination of courses will make up the amount needed for learners to achieve the criteria needed for a Certificate by the end of year one. The course is based around skills building and developing an actor's toolbox for drama school, university or professional work. Course Content - Subsidiary Diploma - The Subsidiary Diploma course builds on the skills which you have developed within the first year and will challenge you even further as an actor. Particular emphasis will be placed on your individual performance skills and group work and the acceptance of criticism and direction will once again be key. Learners will select and perform contrasting audition material for assessment as well as work towards a tutor facilitated performance of a theatrical piece.
