Introduction:
On this course students are able to explore all aspects of performing arts.

Areas of study include drama, the theatrical business, musical and dance aspects. Students also study the ABC in Carnival Skills in addition to the First Diploma Performance.

Study Mode & Location:
This one year course will be held at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent's Road, Preston, PR2 8UR.

Course Content:
Students are required to complete 6 compulsory units in performance work, the performing arts business and contextual studies in order to achieve this qualification.

Units must be taken in both acting and dancing; students can also opt, as an enrichment activity.

Assessment:
Practical coursework and a written portfolio provide the basis for your assessment.

Careers & Progression Opportunities:
Successful completion of this course allows progression to National Diplomas or A Levels.

You will also be qualified to apply for jobs in performing arts and entertainments sector.

How To Apply
You will need to complete a Further Education Application Form. These will be available from mid-May.
Many courses have limited places so please return your application form as soon as possible. Following acceptance of your application, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
