Who is this course for?
The BTEC Introductory Diploma is designed to encourage you to develop the personal skills and qualities you need for work,learning to achieve your full potential. It is a practical course and gives you the chance to explore opportunities offered in the performing arts industry.

What are the entry requirements?
You will need to have at least one of the following qualifications: - An Entry Certificate in Skills for Working for Life or Life Skills or other Entry Level Qualification - An appropriate standard of literacy and numeracy - Related interests and Experiences
After applying you will have an interview to determine which course is suitable for your needs and abilities.

You can read longer pieces of writing and understand the main ideas without help. You can write longer pieces of writing of 100 words or more.

Students may progress to a BTEC Diploma in Performing Arts offered at the college.

What will I study?
The course is made up of 8 units; 3 core units which everyone takes, 2 compulsory Personal Skills units and 3 optional units, which enable you to study in more depth.

How will I be taught?
Through classes, workshops and practical exploration of the performing arts including performance administration, technical support and performance presentations.

How will I be assessed?
You will be Continuously assessed in both practical and written assignments.

Students are supported by a personal tutor throughout and encouraged to benefit from the range of college provision on offer.

What will it cost?
Age under 19 on 31st August of the year you start your course? Study forFREE.
