This course aims to encourage students to develop practical skills in drama alongside other art forms of the theatrical world.
Study Mode & Location:
This one year course will be held at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent`s Road, Preston, PR2 8UR.
Course Content:
This course will help you develop practical skills in drama, together with practical and theoretical aspects of other art forms.
You will learn about the theatrical industry as a whole and the job opportunities available.
You will also take LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) qualification in addition to this course. This will include working as an individual or in a pair, in an area of drama and performing infront of a LAMDA examiner.
Assessment:
Written and practical coursework provides the basis for your assessment; in addition to this you are graded on your final performance.
Careers & Progression Opportunities:
If you pass all units on this course and are successful in a progression interview with your tutors, you may progress to the BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts.
Successful completion of the Introductory Diploma offers some job opportunities in industry.

You will need to complete a Further Education Application Form. These will be available from mid-May.
Many courses have limited places so please return your application form as soon as possible. Following acceptance of your application, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
