Our course is aimed at students 16 years and up who are looking to enter the professional entertainment sector. The course is taken over 3years on which the student can choose to complete teachers exams or just focus on increasing their genre with the field.

Course programme

The aim of our 3 Year Course is to develop and nurture the students both physically and emotionally to equip them in a trinity of disciplines needed for a professional career. Dolphin has highly qualified and experienced lecturers and teachers, teaching various styles, techniques and offering valuable information and guidance for this industry. College follows a structured timetable covering all styles and genres of performing arts. On completion of this course assistance will also be offered in arranging a professional CV, Showreel, Vocal preparation with sheet music and a Portfolio in preparation for auditions.

Dolphin’s ethos is ‘There is no better teacher than experience’. Students have the opportunity to experience Corporate, Theatre and Commercial contracts during their time at Dolphin. Any students interested in choreography also have opportunities to assist the Principal on professional choreography work. This helps launch students into the industry and build an enviable CV for when they graduate.

Additional information

Applicants for Dolphin's Performing Arts Course is through audition only. Please fill in our enquiry form with your address, requesting all the information.
Once the completed application form has been received by the studio's an audition date will be allocated. On the audition day, the auditionees will participate in a range of classes based on a typical college day. This will give the auditionee the opportunity to meet the Principal, the teachers and current dolphin students. The audition will end with an interview with the principal were candid feedback and constructive advice will be given.  Please note, auditionees do not need to prepare any dance or song pieces for the audition.
 
Information on student accomodation is available on request. Dolphin is listed on the Work Experience Program governed by Ofsted therefore we accept students looking for work experience from years 10 and 11 at High School throughout the north-west. More information is available on request.
