Course programme

Practical classes and tutorials are delivered over four days of the week, leaving plenty of study-time to complete supporting research and written tasks. Units are delivered through practical performance projects which are assessed through an on-going monitoring of progress with feedback and at the end of each semester these are supported by written tasks. You will also have two externally assessed units; one practical based and one online. Attendance and application to all areas is essential for successful completion. We are based on the Park Lane Campus where we have a main house theatre, a studio theatre and 3 rehearsal studios. We also access drama facilities across the city. On completion of your course you will have improved your performance skills and have a deeper understanding of this challenging yet exciting industry. You will also have developed your self-confidence, presentation skills, leadership and team-working potential, preparing you for Level 3 study or to enter employment. Students who have completed these courses have progressed onto Level 3 Performing Arts courses in Acting, Dance, Musical Theatre and Physical Theatre.
