2. Course description These level 1 engineering courses will develop practical engineering skills including bench fitting welding machining and electrical installation. The courses are delivered over one year and are predominately practically based. They also include the development of a portfolio of evidence and the development of basic maths and science used in engineering. You will also study topics such as working safely in engineering using and communicating technical information and carrying out engineering activities efficiently together. The programme will allow learners to develop work related skills in preparation for further training or employment.
