Performing Engineering Operations (PEO), Level 1, is designed to give you an insight into engineering. This course has a high practical
content and will give you the flexibility to study electrical installation or
electronics. This may be particularly useful if you are unsure of the career path you wish to follow.

The topics you will study include:

· Working safely in an engineering environment
· Working efficiently and effectively in engineering
· Using and communicating technical information.

In addition, you will need to complete two College based units,
which are:

· Wiring electrical equipment and circuits.
· Assembling electrical wiring support systems.

You will be given the opportunity to achieve additional qualifications
alongside your main course. These will include qualifications in Functional Skills and can also include more specialist awards relevant to the subject you are studying.

How will I be assessed?
Assessments are carried out by:
· Practical skills tests
· Observations of you working
· Assignments
· Projects
· Completed portfolio of work.
