Course Content
Students will complete 2 mandatory units in:
- Working safely in an engineering environment.
- Developing yourself and working with other people on engineering activities.
Along with two practical units.
Entry RequirementsLearning & Assessment Methods
An Assessor will be assigned to you, who will carry out observations on you. You will be asked to answer questions to prove your knowledge in each specific area of the NVQ. Depending on your situation, you may have to carry out off the job training.
Qualifications Gained
Successful students will be awarded an NVQ Level 1 in Performing Engineering Operations.
Progression Opportunities
This course will allow entry onto the BTEC First Diploma in Engineering.
Career Opportunities
Completion of the Level 1 course could allow an entry level or apprentice position as an Engineer.
