Course Outline:-
- Promote understanding of the Government White Paper.
- Provide knowledge behind the reasoning for the Person Centred Approach
- Provide knowledge and understanding of the needs and rights of Service users to receive Person Centred Approach.
- Gain an understanding of the Governments views regarding the implementation of Person Centred Planning and the benefits to the Service User.
Course Aims:-
- To develop an understanding of Person Centred Approach and how it works in practice.
- Identify common negatives/beliefs regarding this approach and discuss ways of dispelling them.
- Identify and provide guidance regarding various means of planning for individuals.
- Provide a working knowledge of the various tools that can be used to promote Person Centred Planning.
Learning Outcomes:-
- A working knowledge and understanding in regards to the value of Person Centred Planning in the workplace.
- To be able to respect and promote Service Users rights to be able to plan for positive future outcomes.
- To gain confidence in the use of the various tools, use imagination, to make a difference in Service Users lives
Upon successful completion of this course, the candidate will be certificated by JRCS Training. This course aims to provide a sound working knowledge to enable the delegate to implement the protocols and procedures with confidence. This course will also give the delegate evidence towards Common Induction Standards and NVQ and preparation for further professional development.
