These short TESOL awareness courses are aimed at subject (non language) teachers working in English speaking or international schools and for teachers working in the CLIL project. They will also be of interest to anyone wishing to achieve accredited certification for personal development in education generally

It is an extension of the Level 2 course and is aimed at those who want to go a little deeper.
The programme is designed to provide a broader introduction to the theory and practice of teaching subjects in English to speakers of other languages and comprises 6 Modules – each with an input module, self assessment answer key, a tutor assessed worksheet and a final task of 2000 words.
The six course modules are:
- Language Awareness 1 and 2 (including a pre-course global grammar overview)
16 hours
- The Sounds of English (Practical Phonetics) 1 and 2.
10 hours
- The Practice of TESOL 1 and 2
10 hours
- A final response ( 2000 words) ) reflecting on learning with a personal development plan
4 hours.
TOTAL 40 hours
Tasks. Answer all assessed worksheet assignments and complete the final task. Return to personal tutor for grading and feedback.
On course completion individual grades are added together and divided by 4 to give the overall grade for the course.
The Final Task is a mini personal development project of 2000 words and trainees are asked to apply gained topic knowledge, experiences and understanding.
