The Intermediate Certificate in Personal Finance (ICPF) has been designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to be able to cope confidently and effectively with basic financial encounters they are likely to meet.

Course Structure
Students will learn what influences how we spend or save money and how to become competent at managing their own money.

Unit One: Personal Financial Encounters

Unit Two: Money Management Solutions

The course has been designed to help you prepare for a period of life when you can no longer depend on others for your financial provision. In particular, you will learn about the legal and practical constraints on the sources and uses of money; the methods of organising your money through detailed personal budgeting; the considered use of appropriate bank and building society accounts and the concept and consequences of foreign exchange.

Qualification Aims
On successful completion of the course students will gain an Intermediate Certificate in Personal Finance.

There are 3 examinations for this Intermediate Certificate.
