Cost
Students are expected to provide appropriate clothing for vocational and leisure elements on the curriculum eg safety boots. Students are also expected to finance residentials, educational visits and leisure activities.
The Programme
The course is designed for school leavers who; may have needed support at school, are not yet vocationally focused, want to gain confidence, and need help in deciding their future.
The Programme Content
Students have the opportunity to experience a wide range of vocational areas at entry level: Catering, Horticulture, Working in a Built Environment, Retail, Hairdressing, Motor Vehicle, Working in a Care Setting, Business Administration. The course includes work experience, key skills, residentials, challenge awards, environmental studies and a variety of creative and leisure activities.
Progression / Careers
The course lays the foundation for progression to Further Education courses, Entry to Employment (E2E), supported employment (eg Workshop) or employment.
