The Programme
PACE will increase learners confidence and experience, as well as helping them develop a range of skills to enhance their social abilities and employment prospects. The course also provides learners with opportunities to experience a number of vocational areas. Learners will gain qualifications in: NOCN L1 Qualification for Progression, OCR New Clait, OCR Young/Team Enterprise, Literacy and Numeracy.
The Programme Content
Learners will aim to gain a full qualification in Clait and Young/Team Enterprise and improve their Literacy and Numeracy skills to L1/L2 standard. All students will aim to achieve L1 Diploma in Progression and will study the following mandatory units:
Money Management
Healthy Living
Introduction to drug awareness for the individual
Preparation for work
Work experience
Other units will be chosen from a specialist vocational pathway in either: Construction, Art, Health and Social Care, Child Care, Sport, Retail and Beauty Therapy.
Progression / Careers
This is a practical course aimed at upgrading learners basic qualifications to a standard that will enable the student to access a mainstream course or employment the following year.
