About this course

The foundation module (PA1) must be taken prior to any other module - although the test can be taken immediately prior to the PA2 or PA6. For PA2 the operator must be trained and certificated in the vehicle that the sprayer is mounted on.

Assessment
The PA1 assessment is now "on-line" & must be completed on a computer at a nominated test centre - this takes approx. 30 mins. Practical assessments (PA2 - PA12) are both written and verbal questioning - paperwork and application forms for these tests are usually completed during the course and forwarded to the independent assessment centre on your behalf who will then contact you direct to make the necessary arrangements. The PA6 to PA12 tests take approx. 1-2hrs each, PA2 to PA5 tests take 2-3hrs.

Pre-requisites

All trainees must be over 16 years of age, in good health and with reasonable literacy & numeracy skills. Computer literacy requirements are not high and there will be assistance on hand if required - however, if you think you may require assistance with either the written or computer tests you must notify the assessment centre at the time of booking. Persons with certain ailments or on certain medication may not be able to take part in the practical sessions.

This course enables successful candidates to join the National Register of Sprayer Operators (NRoSO) on payment of the required fees.
