Pet Therapy

Here we explain the main parts of the syllabus:

• Activities of Pet Therapy and therapeutic interventions: basic rules, intervention and visit, AAA, EAA, TAA.
• Hygienic requirements: health assessment, pet presentation, skill test.
• Animals suitable for activities: recognition of stress signals in the animal and in the person, the choice of the dog.
• Basic education of the animal: sit, lie down, do not get dirty at home, lead on a leash, general education, recall, barking, grooming and cleaning.
• Parasitology and vaccinations.
• First aid equipment and emergency pharmacology.
• Advanced education and psychological aspects of the dog: imprinting, order NO, admonition, order land, order kennel, recall with whistle, program of the puppy, the dog in the car, relationship and communication between man and animal, phases of life of the dog, ethology, dog-child relationship.
• Psychology of human communication.
• Physical disabilities: psychosocial well-being, disability, disability impairment.
• Group management techniques: groups and management, the importance of the game.
• Zoonoses: infectious diseases of the animal that can be transmitted to humans.
• Childhood neuropsychiatry: forms of environmental detachment, autism, primary psychosis, language disorders, schizophrenic disorders, mood, anxiety, somatoform disorders, dissociative disorders, nutrition, adaptation, impulse control, Down syndrome.
• Classic and operating conditioning: Skinner's theories, behavioural modifications.
• Pet Therapy and its fields: geriatrics, psychiatry, psychomotor rehabilitation, puppy class.
