The PgC Education in Health and Social Care programme acknowledges current government policy with a unique programme of study for future educationalists from a both health and social care background.
Our programme is recognised by The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Teacher and/or Higher Education Academy (HEA) Fellow.
Students complete two modules: one education theory and one education practice module.
Education theory module: Leading in Education: teaching, learning & assessment in academic & practice settings: provides opportunities to develop knowledge and skills in relation to the educational theory and leadership that underpins teaching, learning and assessment in academic and practice settings.
Education Practice module: Education Practice for Health & Social Care: provides the opportunity to integrate educational theory with practice in academic and practice settings and demonstrate their prime educator role as a teacher.
- Subject to re approval in April 2017, an enhanced PgC is currently being developed. This new programme will feature enhanced content and structure.
With a choice of delivery, learners can choose to access the programme online, blended or via face to face delivery.
