Course Description
This programme is intended for Pharmacy Technicians working in a community or hospital pharmacy. The course will also increase the understanding of anyone working in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Preferred Entry Requirements
No formal entry requirements although some knowledge of Chemistry and Numeracy would be an advantage. Entry by informal interview.

Hours per week: 6.5 hours (1 day)

Course Content
Year 1: Human Physiology Microbiology Pharmaceutics Computing. Year 2: Pharmaceutics Pharmacology Behavioural Sciences Sale and Supply of Medicines (optional).

Progression
Employment; SVQ Pharmaceutical Services Level III or possible entry to HNC Applied Science or the University of the West of Scotland Certificate of Higher Education.
