What will I study?
The subject concerns the study of ideas, and is designed to develop critical and intellectual skills as well as knowledge and understanding of major philosophical issues. Duration:
One year for AS Level and a further year to complete A Level.

There is a weekly philosophy society which develops students interests beyond the A Level specification.

By written examination at AS and A2.

Philosophy is extremely popular with universities as background for any course as it demonstrates the capacity for original and rigorous thought and the critical analysis of difficult texts, which are the basis of intellectual development and important strengths in a wide variety of careers.
