Programme structure
Year 1:

  • Introduction to Philosophy A and B
  • Introduction to Formal Logic
  • Choose from: Philosophical Texts 1, 2, 3 or 4; Introduction to Philosophy of Science
  • Introduction to the areas of politics

Year 2:

  • Realism
  • Normativity
  • Plus at least two units from:

- Epistemology
- Political Philosophy
- Philosophy of Mind
- Ethics
- Philosophy of Language
- Logic 2
- Philosophy of Science
- Philosophy of Mathematics
- Or other second-year unit offered

  • Complete introduction to the areas of politics; free choice from a range of units

Year 3:

  • Two Philosophy optional units
  • One extended essay
  • Free choice from a range of optional units including the possibility of undertaking a dissertation
